About Us

Boy Scout Troop 163 was started in 1999, with St. Rita Church in Webster, NY as its chartering organization. Since then, the troop has grown to its current membership of 53, with many adult and parent volunteers. The troop now has over 27 Eagle Scouts in its history.

Annual events include a Pasta Dinner Fundraiser in March, summer camping at Massawepie Scout Camps in the Adirondacks, and supporting Scouting for Food and Clothing annual community service project. Troop 163 added a Christmas Tree sale to its annual activities in 2007.

Duty to God is fostered through participation in the Religious Emblem Program offered through the National Catholic Commitee on Scouting. Several of our Scouts participate and earn the Ad Altare Dei and Pope Pius XII emblems during their Scouting career.

The troop meets every Tuesday from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Check the calendar for the location each week.

Second year Webelos Cub Scouts (grade 5) cross over to Boy Scouts in February each year. Age range for Boy Scouts is usually end of 10 years (end of 5th grade) to 18 years (12th grade). St. Rita Church also charters Cub Scout Pack 163 for younger Scouts (grades 1 through 5, ages 7 - 10). Find out more about that at www.scoutpack163.org
